God made a bunch of planets testing to make the Earth we have today. He tried putting humans on the other planets and did not succeed. But he made a planet called "Earth" which was correct, meaning all variables, air pressures, water pressures, were correct and able to finally host human life. God doesn't make mistakes. That's as valid as any theory we have though. Maybe neanderthals were 'mistakes' and God let them die off. Same with dinosaurs. To me the biggest mystery is what exactly is the spark of life? What makes dead tissue live? I bet we'll never know.

I'm going to stop talking about it. No, not because I'm chickening out, because I don't have any back-up whereas the Christians have a lot. Yeah. And Evolution is only a Theory. And Christianity may be a theory too, but why choose the Scientific way just because the other doesn't seem believeable? this is a little late, but i heard that evolution has the same chance of happening that a tornado goin though a junkyard has of assembling a working boeing 747. think about it. chemicals suddenly start working in perfect harmony? DNA is suddenly formed? it just isnt likely. unless someone knew what they were doing...

I believe humans started out as some sort of aquatic creature because there were probably humans spread out all over the world. Pangaea.

I accept that God was here forever. There was no begining for him. But the idea still hurts my mind.

The more I hear it, the more I am swayed away from it... Understandable, but ask yourself this: Of all of the science that you believe you understand, how much of it do you REALLY understand? What you are looking for is proof of God. What I can tell you is that proof of God is everywhere and you don't have to look that hard for it (look right in this thread for suggestions). You have to reconcile that for yourself though. You accept that scientific theory is valid, correct? For example, do you acept that all things are made of atoms? If so then you are applying faith that atoms exist because no one has ever seen an atom. We have seen the result of what it looks like to manipulate an atom but we've never seen the atom itself. Science cannot explain the origin of life nor can it explain how man came to be here on earth. To date, science is a micro study of a macro world. We do not even know if our science is valid on other planets much less how it works in the universe. You have to accept that there are things you will not know. You can't expect hard proof on one hand and then allow the other (science) to fall short of it. Remember that today science cannot take us to the bottom of sea much less take us to what might be possible out there in the universe. My own take is that man evolves and learns at a pace that can be absorbed by our brains. Bigger mysteries will be solved at precisely the rate in which we can understand them. HERE IS A PAGE that puts some of the biblical text to a test of science. Bible predicts the fall of Edom 100 years before it happened. Science proves the bible (again and again)

The more I hear it, the more I am swayed away from it... First of all, I would like to thank SkullFarmer for that wonderful speech. Anyway, if you are not a Christian, how would you feel on your deathbed? How could you die thinking that you won't have anywhere to go once you leave? To me, that would be a very painful experience. No offence to you or anything, I just wanted to clear things up a bit.

(Gonna jump in here a bit...) Exactly. How has your life been, and are you leaving without regrets? And where exactly would you go after this life? If I (personally) didn't believe that there's life after death, I would be so scared of dying. But I have faith that after I die, I can and will go to heaven. I'm not as scared of death. Even though I may be afraid that a friend or family member could die, I believe that just their material bodies are deceasing. I believe that I will see them again when I die. But an end can always start a beginning, can it not?

I don't know what to say.. Although in our religion, we believe that if other people do not believe that Jesus died on the cross, they will spend an eternity in the firey depths of hell.. which would really suck for you. I don't want you to go to hell..

To convert them into Christianity! By the way, people deserve to know the truth, if they did not know that, they might have not become Christian in the first place!
