Yeah. In the control panel the logo is a folder with a green "A" in it. Just open that and click File>Install new font.

Even easier, just click and drag your font into the folder.

im trying to get finkheavy, in this one. i push save and save it to my personal file in My documents. from there i cant figure out how to get it into the control panel. somehow i have to go, Jimbo>My Documents>My Computer>Control Panel. Click that start button and the control panel is on the right side in the blue. If you get "Pick a Category" on top, click "Classic View" on the left in the light blue on the top. From there the "Fonts" folder shouldn't be hard to find. It's the folder with the green "A". Drag your font into that.

HOW TO INSTALL FONTS. 1. Download your font. If you can't do this, you shouldn't be on the internet. 2. Click the big green square labeled "start" on the bottom left corner of your screen. It has a picture of a flag on it. 3. Now a menu has appeared. Slowly move your cursor up, and then right, until you are hovering over the picture of a check mark enclosed in white and blue. You will notice that it says "Control Panel" to the right of it. 4. Now that your mouse is hovering over it, you will notice that the area around it has turned a darker blue, and a big yellow box filled with words might come up. Click the left button on your mouse. 5. One of two possible things can happen now. A window will pop up. If it has a blue background and it says "Pick a category" in big letters on the top, continue going step by step through this document. If you get a window with a white background and lots of different pictures, skip to step 7. 6. Move your mouse to the big letters that say "Pick a category" on the top of the window. Now move your mouse left until it is over the words that say "Control Panel". Move your mouse down to where it says "Classic View". Click the left button on the mouse. You will now see a white background with lots of pictures. 7. Find the picture that looks like this: Now move your mouse over the picture of the two overlapping boxes on the top right corner of the screen. Click the left button on your mouse. 8. Find your font. Hover over it and click the left button on your mouse. Now click the left button on your mouse again, but this time, don't let go! Remember the other window we had open, with the picture I showed you? Move your mouse, still not letting go, until you are over the picture I showed you. Now let go of the button on your mouse. Congratulations! You have just installed a new font!

Also, fonts are under C:\Windows\fonts. You can just drag your font files into there.

Nope, Windows automatically updates the registry when you drag the file into it. It's a special system folder that's monitored by the subsystem.
