I've actually known about this for a while. I believe it was announced in January. But anyways there's a new version of Trillian coming out called Trillian Astra. They've gotten pretty far in it but they don't want to make any promises on the release date because they're afraid they'll miss it. In case you don't know, Trillian is an instant messaging client that can be configured to work with a bunch of different instant messaging servers. Basically, it's AIM, IRC, ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN in a bottle (you just run Trillian and you can use all of those). And that's the free version. If you pay $20 it adds support for skins and plug-ins, meaning that it adds even more such as Novell, Jabber, Google Talk, Rendezvous, and Skype (but Skype is only partially working right now). I'm not sure what all will be free with Astra. Trillian has always had a free version and a version you pay for. All I know is that there'll be a few more plug-ins available for Astra, such as MySpace IM.
