Oh, and the Trojan is called Trojan.Peacomm (Norton Internet Security still recognizes virus and trojans even though it's expired). On the Norton webbie, it says this. And much more. It's neccessary for removing some of the files that may be reviving parts of the trojan.

Ok. Well, if my above method doesn't work, i'm going to need a few more details. How do you think you received the virus? When was your most recent download?

Oh hey, WAIT a second! I don't actually HAVE the trojan! *smacks forhead* It just says I'm not protected against it if I DO get it! So it's really just trying to get me to buy the renewal. >_> Meanies. But I did need a virus protection program so that's a good thing

I'm watching Bush's speech right now, I know this is off-topic but, it's really funny how his wife(whatever her name is) blinks like, five times a second. Nyaah.

[Stupid all caps acronym deleted by Gleasonator because he couldn't handle the cornyness] Well, keep both programs I assume you downloaded already. Ad-Aware is your best bet against viruses and anything else that may try to mess up your machine, and CCleaner is really handy to get rid of all those un-needed files.

Really? My dad works at HP (which makes him a computer wiz I guess) and he likes Norton! He's got it installed on every one of the computers in my house.

Shoulda just called me, Carl. Sometimes you get a virus that wont go away and you have to delete it from the registry. As far as I'm concerned, all you need is AdAware and Norton. Norton doesn't even see SpyWare, (even though it says it does... it is AntiVIRUS though, not spyware. So it's not completely useless) but if you get a virus at least you can see where it is and take it out of the registry.
